Happy Winter Solstice!

Those of you who’ve followed along with me for a while know that I don’t celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, but I do celebrate it as a time to appreciate everyone in my life and to be grateful I’m not stuck doing this all by myself.

You might say I’ve just knuckled under to the overwhelming social pressure that makes it pretty impossible not to go along with the usual Christmas traditions and you wouldn’t be wrong. But I like to think that Christmas can mean whatever it needs to mean to whomever is celebrating it.

So that’s what I’m doing this week, celebrating the people I love and/or knuckling under to social pressure. I hope that whatever you’re doing this week, there’s a hug in it for you somewhere.
