Lois Peterson has had enough excitement for a woman her age. She’d like to get back to her quiet life managing a small apartment complex, but that’s before the man shows up on her doorstep, sweating blood.

But when a mythological sea creature makes her an offer she can’t refuse, she teams up with a private investigator to find out who’s doing the cursing and why—before time runs out on her.
